Integrating SkootEco with Stripe via Zapier

Log in to Zapier

1. Go to Zapier.

2. Log in or create a new account.

Create a New Zap

1. From your Zapier dashboard, click "Create Zap".

2. Search for "Stripe" or "SkootEco" in the Apps list.

3. Alternatively, use the AI input field and type:
   "Plant a tree with SkootEco when a new payment is processed in Stripe."

Set Up Stripe Trigger

1. In the Workflow screen, select the Stripe module.

2. Choose the trigger event: "New Payment".

3. Click "Sign In" to connect your Stripe account:

   • A pop-up will appear prompting you to log in to Stripe.

   • Enter your Stripe credentials and authorise Zapier to access your payment data.

4. Follow the prompts to complete the connection.

Configure SkootEco Action

1. Add the SkootEco module to your workflow.

2. Choose the action event: "Plant a Tree".

3. Connect your SkootEco account:

   • Under Account, click "Sign In" or "Select" > "Connect New Account".

   • You will be redirected to the SkootEco authorisation page.

4. Enter Your API Token:

   • Retrieve it from your SkootEco dashboard (refer to the API guide).

   • Paste the token into the field provided.

   • Click "Yes, Continue to SkootEco".

   • Zapier will verify the token and return you to the Zap workflow.

   Tip: Keep your API Token secure. If needed, generate a new token following the API Token Management Guide.

Set Your Impact Settings

1. Specify the impact you wish to make per payment processed:

   • Example: "Plant 1 tree for every new Stripe payment."

2. Test this step to ensure it’s working correctly.

Complete the Zap Setup

1. Follow the on-screen instructions to finalise the workflow.

2. Test the full automation to confirm everything runs smoothly.

3. Click "Publish Zap" to activate.

Note: You can edit, pause, or delete your Zap anytime from the Zapier dashboard.

Every SkootEco account has an Impact Profile. This is where you can track all the impact you've made and see where in the world you are making a difference.

Access your Impact Profile from your dashboard or go straight to your public URL.
